Many of our elderly reside in assisted living facilities or nursing homes instead of being taken care of at home. As a result, a large portion of people is unable to attend church, or have an opportunity to interact with others beyond facility staff and medical professionals. In addition, if we factor in the latest Federal privacy regulations, even clergy are unable to fully interact with the residents of these facilities. We desire to reach out to these residents so that they may receive personal, individual interaction and Spiritual support.
God has laid it on our hearts to meet the needs of these folks, both men and women, by bringing the Gospel to them through worship, Bible Study, and help ministries.
Our desire is to show God’s love, both to those who do and do not know Jesus, and are unable to fellowship in a church setting, by bringing them the Gospel message of Jesus’ redeeming act on the cross.
There are many opportunities to serve in this ministry, including: leading a Bible study or a worship service, visitation and prayer, as well as general serving.
James 1:27 – Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.
